This page explains what this website stores on your device, why, and how you stay in control. The short version: the site works without any cookies at all. The only cookies it can set are Google Analytics cookies, and those are set only after you accept them.
This site is run by me, Ken “Krysion” Nisaka, based in the European Union. I am the data controller for everything described here. You can reach me at hello@krysion.com.
These entries live only in your browser, are never sent to me or anyone else, and don’t need your consent. They exist so the site can function or remember a choice you made.

With your permission I use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit, which pages they look at, and whether the downloads actually get used. Until you click Accept, nothing from Google is loaded and no analytics cookies exist. Declining changes nothing about how the site works, and you can change your mind at any time.

The identifier is random and not linked to your name, email or anything else that identifies you, and I don’t try to work out who you are from it. Analytics is set up without advertising features, so the data is not used for ads or profiling, is not combined with other data, and is never shared or sold. Google keeps individual visit data for 14 months, then deletes it; only overall statistics remain after that.
Google processes this data on my behalf as my processor (Google Ireland Limited). Some of it may be handled on Google servers in the United States; Google is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its terms include the EU standard contractual clauses. The pages fetch fonts and icons from third-party servers (Google Fonts, and Cloudflare’s cdnjs for Font Awesome), and the downloads come from GitHub. Loading a file shows that server your IP address, but no cookies are set and nothing is used to track you. The site is hosted by Netlify, which keeps ordinary server logs for security; see Netlify’s privacy policy.
The Sastra engine itself, the file you download and publish your visual novel with, makes no network requests at all and sets no cookies. What your own published game does is up to you.
You can ask what data I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent at any time. In practice the only data I have is the analytics data above, which I can’t tie to a person, but email me at hello@krysion.com with any request or question. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.
If the site starts using a new cookie or service, this page is updated first and the date at the top changes. If the change affects what you agreed to, the banner asks you again.
